A clip is a type of mechanical fastener that is used to join two components together. There are many different clip types out there, but typically, a clip consists of one metal or plastic strip that is bent in the middle, producing two endpoints that neighbor each other. The "U" or "V" shape of a common clip allows for the part to clamp onto objects when placed correctly on different components.
