ENGINE HARNESS (REPRODUCTION - LATE STYLE)

RE-STOCKED FOR 2025!

The engine harness found on most DeLoreans had many design flaws, chief among them was a long length of constant hot cable that runs the entire distance of this harness in order to supply power to the relay/fusebox area from the alternator post. This cable was both bulky and unnecessarily long, adding weight to the harness and resistance to this critical circuit. The engine harness design was superseded at the factory by the 110185 late-style setup to simplify the harness and remove this wire. As a result, the harness became lighter, more tidy, and easier to service.

For this reason, the late style harness was the only design considered for our reproduction harnesses. This late harness design is easily adaptable to earlier cars as a substantial improvement. Our reproduction harness features superior Deutsche connectors at the engine microswitches and diagnostic harness, where the original, substandard connectors are no longer available.

The required 110093 Hot Wire and the highly recommended 111093 Alternator to Starter Charging Wire (4ga) are both included with the kit, as well as the necessary small parts and comprehensive illustrated instructions to complete the installation.

Extensively tested on our company DeLoreans and made exclusively for us, each of these is electrically tested prior to shipping.
