1981 DeLorean #03732-TX

1981 DeLorean with just under 27,000 miles, black interior 5-speed. Car has a new flat hood, windshield without antenna, a new louvre and engine cover, refurbished wheels in silver powdercoating, and fiberglass-backed dark grey headliners.

107000 fuel module installed in 2017

Front and rear tires in correct factory sizes installed in 2022

Windshield washer pump replaced in 2018

LED illuminated window switches installed in 2018

Major service kit and coolant hose kit with radiator installed in 2018

New AC compressor installed in 2022

Known needs:

Car currently does not have functioning AC - the evaporator core has failed and needs to be replaced. Recommend replacing heater core at the same time.

Seat covers - current seat covers are original and showing their age with cracking and tearing

Fascias - both are faded and in need of refinishing. But the front fascia is still very straight, with very minimal eyebrowing present.

Dash and binnacle are both original and beginning to crack in several places.

Carpet shows major wear in the typical area around the battery compartment that deteriorates due to leaking battery acid.

Doors do not lock electrically, door lock actuators and a digital door lock module are needed. Both doors can be locked and unlocked by hand using the key, though.

Frequency valve - has not been rebuilt and still has the original nylon fuel lines which are prone to splitting due to age. Refurbishing service recommended to remove the potential fire hazard.

Fusebox has fuse 7 bypassed, relays in relay compartment are mostly a mix of original and non-DMC aftermarket. RPM relay and lambda relay have been replaced by DMC with new correct parts to ensure proper function.

Exterior door handles are the original plastic ones which are a known failure item, especially when it's colder outside. Changing to replacement metal handles is recommended.
