FRONT FASCIA (TAKEOFF)

We’ve recently located a number of “take off” FRONT fascias. What is a “take off” part, you ask? Great question!

A “take off” part is a component that was fitted to a car, but removed for some reason prior to the car being sold. In this case, the fascias were shipped to the DeLorean factory by their supplier in West Germany, already painted and ready to install. When the cars were shipped to the USA and went through the DMC Quality Assurance Centers (QACs) any front or rear fascia that exhibited any damage was removed and replaced with a new one. These are original “take off” parts, removed at the QAC and set aside for 40+ years. Some still have the tape that held the protective styrofoam caps on them! Sorry, we have NONE of the styrofoam caps.

As 40+ year old parts, in addition to the initial damage that caused them to be replaced back in 1981/1982, they also have some “warehouse rash” from being stored and shipped around the country from the QAC’s to the Kapac warehouse in Ohio and then down to DMC Texas. This is likely to be your final chance to get a nearly new urethane front fascia.
