120 AMP DMC ALTERNATOR (WITH BELT AND HARDWARE)

Are you sure you need an alternator? If the battery light in your instrument cluster is burned out, or has been replaced with an LED bulb, your alternator won't charge! The battery light should illuminate while you are cranking the engine, then it should go out when the engine starts. If you do not see this, you likely need a new bulb (105859)!

The DeLorean's original 80 amp Ducellier alternator, used up to about VIN 4539, was underrated for the amperage requirements of the car. The factory then moved to the 90 amp Motorola alternators, which were good, but in 2008 it became clear that quality rebuild components were no longer available. It was at that time when we made the move to have our own, made in America, modern 120 amp alternators produced exclusively for us and they have proven themselves by providing excellent output at idle and on the road.

WARNING!

• Don't void your alternator warranty!
• Don't burn your belt!
• Don't lose alternator output!

Make sure the belt is tight with this simple check:

Place a socket on the alternator pulley nut and pull handle clockwise. If the pulley turns without turning the engine, the belt is still too loose and needs more tension!
