ORIGINAL STYLE FUEL PUMP (AFTERMARKET)

People have asked why we no longer sell the Bosch fuel pumps. For years we had NOS Bosch pumps, made in West Germany, that had a very low failure rate - no more than 1-2%. When those stocks were exhausted, we transitioned to the current product from Bosch - made in Eastern Europe - and experienced a 20-30% failure rate at a much higher cost. The aftermarket pumps have a much lower cost with about a 1-2% failure rate. All that said, if you have a car you are bringing back to life or just need to replace your tank internals, we now recommend the one-piece integrated fuel pump/sender module that eliminates all the troublesome factory fuel tank components.

Finally, we only recommend the pump by itself if you are 100% sure that all you need is the pump. Since our experience shows that users that only replace the pump - without the rest of items that typically need replacement - usually have the same type of pump failure again. Therefore, when we sell the pump as a standalone part, it has no warranty whatsoever. To get a warranty on this pump, it must be purchased as part of the K111085A.
