Lots of places use our DeLorean part numbers as identifiers for their "cross-reference" or "copycat" parts, creating confusion in the marketplace. This 
New Original Stock, or NOS, part traces its origins back to 1982, when the DeLorean factory closed. In some cases, the part has traveled from the original supplier in the US to Dunmurry before making it's way to Ohio and finally Texas!

How do new original stock (NOS) parts come "back"? Well, we have an excess of the earlier gray storage compartment covers and an excess of some of the late gray carpet pieces. We passed some of each over to our in-house upholstery department and had them take a some of each and make these up. NOS pieces + NOS carpet = a "New" NOS part!
DeLorean carpets came in three different colors and two different textures. This is the latest texture and color used, a light GRAY with a smooth texture. Learn more about DeLorean carpets and how to identify what you have in your car here.
