An anti-roll bar (aka sway bar) helps combat body roll in corners and helps keep the wheels planted firmly on the road. To effectively maintain handling, anti-roll bars are anchored to the frame with anti-roll bar bushings, which allow a limited range of motion without the need for bearings or other moving parts. These bushings are relatively small but are very important suspension components.
