Lots of places use our DeLorean part numbers as identifiers for their "cross-reference" or "copycat" parts, creating confusion in the marketplace. This 
New Original Stock, or NOS, part traces its origins back to 1982, when the DeLorean factory closed. In some cases, the part has traveled from the original supplier in the US to Dunmurry before making it's way to Ohio and finally Texas!
Engine cover bump stops may be small, but that doesn't mean they're not important! This part's purpose is to assist in the careful closing of a DeLorean's engine compartment cover. Without bump stops, the engine cover would make direct contact with the car every time it closes resulting in significant amounts of damage to the cover and/or the rear closing panel. Worn bump stops will produce similar results.
As a New Original Stock (NOS) part, you know it's the correct part in thread pitch, rubber harness, shape, size and function!
