Originally made of asbestos (along with 1-2 other heatshields on the car) this part is no longer available.
This part protects the underbody (the parcel shelf behind the seats is right above this area) from the heat off of the exhaust crossover pipe.
With the performance exhaust, this part is no longer necessary as the crossover pipe is eliminated.
