Lots of places use our DeLorean part numbers as identifiers for their "cross-reference" or "copycat" parts, creating confusion in the marketplace. This 
New Original Stock, or NOS, part traces its origins back to 1982, when the DeLorean factory closed. In some cases, the part has traveled from the original supplier in the US to Dunmurry before making it's way to Ohio and finally Texas!
Most of the time, unless someone has been monkeying around inside the door and the wiring to these lights has gotten chewed up, you won't need to replace these. Okay, yes, sometimes the lenses will get lost - but they're available separately. The rubber may crack or tear in the corners, so that's a reason to replace them. Most of the time the bulbs go bad, we recommend LED's now, anyway. The Knowledgebase article explains more about LEDs.
